About the Recipe
Garlic oil sautéed pasta with broccoli is one of those go-to dishes that feels both effortless and satisfying. The pasta gets tossed in fragrant garlic-infused olive oil, with tender broccoli soaking up all that savory goodness. It’s quick, comforting, and made almost entirely from pantry staples — no fancy ingredients, just simple flavors done right.
This is the kind of meal you whip up when you want something warm and filling without a lot of fuss. Whether you’re cooking for yourself or sharing with friends, it’s a crowd-pleaser that comes together in under half an hour. Add a little grated cheese or chili flakes on top, and dinner is done.

Ingredients
1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oi
4 cloves garlic, smashed
1 head broccoli, chopped to bite-sized pieces
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
Few tablespoons water or pasta cooking water, if needed
8 ounces penne pasta, cooked al dente
Parmesan cheese, for garnish
Preparation
Step 1
Cook the pasta per the instructions. We prefer whole wheat penne, which takes a little longer and has a great al dente tenxture.
Step 2
In a different pan, heat the olive oil and garlic over medium heat in a large saute pan until fragrant, and the garlic is golden brown.
Step 3
Make sure the broccoli is completely dry before tossing it into the pan.
Step 3
Toss the broccoli to coat with oil. Season with salt and pepper and saute over medium heat until the broccoli barely loses some of its crunch, should be 5 minutes.
Step 5
Add in pasta and toss to coat with oil. Top with Parmesan cheese and serve.
